Something went wrong with the connection!

Eliad Eliyahu in a new album, “The Shining Light of the Sky”.

Good news for the fans of Jewish creation – the Jewish music is climbing one step higher.
Upon the launching of the full album by Eliad Eliyahu – “The Shining Light of the Sky”, one
can determine that we are dealing with a rare and magical combination of quality music that
is well positioned between the Israeli mainstream and the ethnic rhythm. In the new album,
Eliad combines vocal parts with original personal lyrics together with religious and Biblical
texts.

Eliad Eliyahu has created a unique style that enables him to put the personal tone in all of
his songs. The songs deal with “a man walking on this Earth” theme, and in the delicate
connection between man and God. His texts are kicking and entering your soul, and they are
there to stay.

The work on the album was not a short one. The materials for the album were carefully
collected and selected over 3 years, very close to the launching of his first album which was
called “Eli – Eli”. Last month, Eliad Eliyahu has retuned from a trip to the Jewish communities
in the USA. One of the flights was cancelled and Eliad found himself stuck at the airport for
fifteen hours. “Instead of feeling down,” says Eliad, “I took out my guitar and wrote a new
song for the third album.” Eventually the new song was launched in front of a group of
Japanese tourists in Atlanta. “I write my songs everywhere. Every moment has a good
potential for writing a song because each moment has its own tremendous meaning,” he
explains his method, “and I like to sit in front of the sea and make the music float,” (taken
from song number 7).

Eliad Eliyahu, a newly religious Jew, was born and still resides in the city of Acre, the city of
the sea and the walls. “The place where I live with all its beauty, its ancient Jewish
traditions, and the challenges in the mission of living in a mixed city, having both Jewish and
Arabic population define my personality and my creation.”
