The Zemiros Choir Paying Tribute To Reb Dovid Werdyger A”H
Last week the Jewish music industry lost a “grandfather” of Jewish music and a great Talmid Chochom. Rabbi Dovid Werdyger A”H returned his soul to Hakodosh Boruch Hu at the ripe age of 94.
Over the years Reb Dovid has released a staggering repertoire which includes over 30 records/albums. Reb Dovid was a pioneer in Jewish Music and was one of the first to bring so many soul-stirring and uplifting melodies into our lives and into to the ears of many generations.
This past Motzei Shabbos the Zemiros Choir gathered together for a impromptu Melava Malka to pay tribute to the music of the late Rabbi Dovid Werdyger A”H. Just as Reb Dovid had those many years ago, the Zemiros performed this medley live vocally, bringing back nostalgia and old memories.
Enjoy!
Reb Dovid A”H will be missed.
May he be a Meilitz Yosher for his children and grandchildren who continue his legacy, and for all of K’lal Yisroel until Moshiach’s day,
Omein.
