Second Single From The Shlager Project “Vechozakto” by DEDI!
Who didn’t grow up on Dedi‘s great hits!? Hu Yigal Otanu, Ki Heim Chayeinu, Omnom, and many others, for example. In the past few years Dedi has taken some time off from his musical life, and focused mainly on his business career that he had been working on simultaneously with the music. He conquered virtually every stage in Israel and throughout the world, performed before prime ministers and presidents in Israel and beyond, and even became personal friends with some of them. Now, in the flagship project of the Shlager website, he is coming back and reminding us that there are musical abilities that only he has. The composition is by Levik Tubul, like all of the songs on the album, but for this song Moshe Laufer also arranged the song, and put in his own recognizable style.
The lyrics for this song are taken from Sefer Melachim Alef. It is a good fit for the typical style that Dedi has always sung in, and Levik recruited the best talents for producing this track. The vocal arrangements are by the Zemiros Goup in America, production by Yoely Dikman, and Chaim Mayer Fligman conducted the Shir V’Shevach boys choir. The song was mixed by the one and only Eli Lishinsky.
The list of musicians is quite impressive as well. There are two drummers, Ron Vered and Barak Aharon, and alongside them percussionist Gadi Seri. Aryeh Berkovitz on bass, Yaron Gottfried and piano, and Eli Laufer with sound effects and electronica. Singolda on electric guitar with the A-list team of Rafi Davidov. And if that’s not enough, even the legendary Peter Wertheimer is on the track with the woodwinds.
Besides Dedi, the other singers on The Shlager Project are Lipa, Yeedle, Motty Shteinmetz, Yishai Lapidot, Dovid Gabay, Avremi Roth, Shloime Cohen, Yoni Shlomo, Levi Falkowitz, Yosef Chaim Shwekey, Gad Elbaz, and Eli Herzlich. The album will be released this summer.
