Sruli Twerski & Eli Beer “A Gitten Shabbos”
The inspiration to release this enchanting melody came to me while merging onto the BQE on Erev Shabbos (for those of you unfamiliar with New York roads, this is one with which you’d like to remain unfamiliar). The sound of cars honking in unison, and the sight of bumper to bumper traffic led me to start humming in the hopes of remaining calm through the chaos.
Oftentimes, at the end a stressful week, I noticed that as Shabbos approached, this song would come to mind.
Naturally, I connected with Eli Beer, hoping that together we could share this exquisite piece, composed by my grandfather, Reb Michel Twerski, Shlita.
As you leave a week of stress or exhaustion and usher in the Shabbos Queen, I hope that this composition brings you peace and serenity.
Many thanks to Avromi Berko for his outstanding enhancements to “A Gitten Shabbos.”
I wish you all of the blessings of “A Gitten Shabbos.”
