Martin Widerker ft Eli Hartzlich & Yaakov Motzen – Tov Lehodot
A wonderful combination of emotion and depth, in a heartfelt duet by the renowned singers Eli Herzlich and Yaakov Motzen. Performed in a spectacular and perfect production in the tradition of ‘Widerker‘ from his upcoming fourth album, featuring Shabbos songs.
As an eleven-year-old native Tel Aviv boy, Meir Martin Widerker immigrated to a cold and alienated foreign country, but his passion to playing his violin along with his great musical talent has kept him afloat. At the age of 13 he graduated from the Conservatory of Music, and later becomes a successful real-estate man which did not abandon the Jewish tradition, and quickly became a loyal ambassador to the State of Israel. For a period of over 40 years he was a member of the Stuttgart community committee, and for several years he also served as the head of the community and member of the Central Committee of German Jewry, Keren Hayesod. He was also the president of the Maccabi Club, and founder of the Karl Adler Foundation for the encouragement of Jewish Youth in the field of poetry and music.
Today, the finest singers and cantors, such as Helfgott, Avriemi Roth, Avraham Fried, and other famous Hasidic singers sing the great compositions of Martin Widerker‘s. The familiar sounds of the Jewish Shtetle have once again come to life with Widerker Shabbos songs. Widerker, who speaks eight languages, lives and breathes every part of Jewish culture and art, and thru his music takes us down memory lane to the Shabbos song of father’s house.
Once again Meir Martin Widerker hits home with his heartfelt song ‘Tov Lehodot’, which is about having gratitude and thanking God even in our darkest hour. This song is one of the great creations from the new album “Shabbos Queen No. 4”, an amazing combination of emotion and depth, soon to be released.
Performed by a winning ensemble, vocals: Eli Herzelich, guest cantor: Yaakov Motzen. Musical director: Menachem Bristovsky. Producer and director: Israel Bergman – Hyper Productions.
Saturday Queen No. 4 is a must hear!
