Yosef Chaim Shwekey Returns With An All New Single “Chazor Becha”
Though its been two years since the release of his last album, singer Yosef Chaim Shwekey returns to the stage with an all new single.
The song, “Chazor Becha,” is taken from a letter written by the Chazon Ish zt”l to a student who had decided to leave yeshiva. The student was struggling with personal issues, resulting in a series of unhealthy choices. The Chazon Ish, zt”l, choose to devote his precious time to address this student and call for his return. In the great rabbi’s stirring letter, filled with statements of love and rebuke, the Chazon Ish zt”l bares his soul to the student.
“When I read this letter for the first time, I sat shocked and awed by its intensity, every word like an arrow to the heart … I read it over and over again until the words of these holy words melted into my music … I thought at that moment that every ultra-Orthodox man in the world should know these words This is a message written especially for our generation, said Shwekey”
The song was written by the talented composer Noach Palei. For years, this melody lay between the treasures of wonders, recorded and silenced. Now that he has reached the musical ears of the two artists, singer Yosef Chaim Shwekey and producer/arranger Yoeli Dickman, the two devoted themselves to giving the melody a wonderful shade and tone. Yoeli was responsible for the arrangement and production, while Yosef Chaim added his special voice, and the perfect result – in front of you!
