Yossi Schwartz Presents: Unetana Tokef

The famous piece ‘Unetana Tokef’ with a new spin on it performed by the Cantor and maestro Yossi Schwartz, accompanied by pianist Aharale Nachshoni.

Cantor Yossi Schwartz with a special performance of ‘Unetana Tokef‘, just a few months after the passing of Chanoch Elbalek, the amazing singer from the band ‘Givatron‘ that was very connected to the masterpiece of Yair Rosenblum, Yossi Schwartz‘s performance is dedicated to him, as well in this dedication is the famous piece ‘Kebakarat‘ by Yossele Rosenblatt.

Yossi who is currently in Miami, where he is performing as the head chazzan for the Yamim noraim at the congregation of ‘Sky Lake’ tells us about his deep connection he has to this masterpiece. “The first time I heard ‘Unetana Tokef‘ performed by Chanoch Elbalek when I was a child made an imprint on me” tells Yossi. “The simplicity and the honesty of his performance touched my heart. I had a big dream to perform this song with him at some point, unfortunately I did not get the chance before he passed, so today I release this song in his memory. I had the honor of performing the song on Rosh Hashana where I was davening, and the congregation was uplifted to tears. I hope I can touch the heart of every Jew worldwide”.
