But instances kibbutz near Beit Shemesh wasp was a festive night ever, and not for nothing. A first instance (first of a series of three shows) by Eli Gerstner Yeshiva Boys band – first time in Israel, took place there.
Guest artist Benny K’ton who opened the show, bringing back memories of listening to his album years ago which was produced by Eli Gerstner himself. Benny played one of the big hits off his album “Kel Adon” and the crowd loved it. The show continued to heat up the crowd with a medley of Gerstner classic played by the Yosis Orchestra.
Producer Yudi Zuller,approached the stage and introduced YBC to the audience. Finally the time arrived for the 21 choir members with their choir master extraordinaire Yossi Newman to perform for the first time in ISRAEL.
The choir performed all of their mega hits,thrilling the crows the show lasted a little over two hours, including special guest star “Yaakov Mordechai Gerstner” who performed the song on ‘solo’ and starred in almost every song, solo and impressive.
They closed the show with the hit song “Kol Hamispallel” at which point Newman & Gerstner invited all the kids in the crowd to come on stage and join in the song.
