Asaf Leibovitz presents his fourth and final hit prior to releasing the complete
album “Tipul Tefilla” (“Prayer Treatment”). Leibovitz, aged 41, born in Haifa
but currently living in Hod Hasharon, married and the father of three, defines
himself as a Hassid and a musician, in that order. Leibovitz, who is both
guitarist and composer, in addition to receiving smicha, creates compositions
which blend music and the Torah’s inner essence, also learns and teaches
Torah to a broad range of people.
Although it might seem at first that the single “One and Only” talks of ordinary
love, it is actually a love song to the Torah and its secrets, which the
Leibovitzes found whilst discovering Judaism. In days of search and spiritual
awakening , on the one hand, and a world full of upheaval and change on the
other, many of us discover “new” paths and answers which are actually
thousands of years old. Such answers Asaf and Pazit Leibovitz found through
their introduction to the Torah and its 70 faces, as the song tells us.
Asaf’s musical career began long before he became a baal tshuva during his
studies at the Rimon Music School, when he worked with artists such as Aviv
The couple did not give up their music, but adapted it to their new way of life.
The lyrics are simple and effective, words of truth that make one think. The
music contains hints of soft rock that captures the heart from the very first
sounds.
The complete version of the album has already attracted great interest, and
will be available, be”H, towards the beginning of Elul.
