“Avodat Halev” – Aryeh Kunstler & Itzik Dadya
Singer, songwriter, musician, producer and arranger Aryeh Kunstler has worn many hats over the last two decades. These past few years though, his writing and composing has really jumped leaps and bounds from the rocker we known back on his first two albums in the early 2000’s.
He has been releasing deep songs with poignant messages. Songs the cut right to ones soul and makes you cry. Songs like Keli, Sari’s Song and These Words.
So its not surprise when Kunstler started teasing a new song and releasing ten second teasers with the message what does a “Eved Hashem” mean that we were getting excited.
Introducing “Avodat Halev,” translated to mean the work of the heart. This song with its simple arrangement yet deep meaningful message is sure to help listeners connect to the creator on a whole other level. Add to that the fact that Aryeh teamed up with one of the most popular Israeli artists our there Itzik Dadya, and you have a winner. Aryeh‘s English lyrics and Dadya‘s Hebrew really bring the song home in a big was for more people to understand and connect to the message. The two compliment each other and the song starts to take on a whole new dimension.

Ever since I was a child I have followed in your ways
Now that I am older it is harder I must say
I have my own free will, still I choose You
Being a servant’s not a burden
When you’re working for the King
Who loves you like a son and daughter
Only wants to bring you closer
Bring me close
When I feel so far, from where you are אנא ה׳
Sometimes it’s gonna feel Like your world is gonna break
ואין לך מקום ואין יותר לאן ללכת אל תשכח
Never forget
