CHANALE TO PERFORM LIVE CONCERT IN FLORIDA

Chanale will be coming to Florida for a Live Concert that will raise funds for students in need of scholarships to attend the Chaya Aydel Seminary in Hallandale Beach. Chanale is a singer, songwriter, recording artist and performer whose melodic and moving songs open the hearts and touch the spirits of women in communities everywhere. Her powerful performances excite and inspire all-female crowds in places as far away as China, South America, Alaska and Israel. Her career began in 1999 and with the release of her 5th album “Taking Over My Heart” in summer 2011, she is still going strong.

The measure of her talent, ripe and always fresh, is consistently proven in her songwriting. Her albums contain a myriad of songs that include power ballads, dance tracks and country songs, and it is with these songs that she connects with her many fans all over the world.

Her music reflects her strong Jewish heritage and embraces her contemporary musical taste. A powerful performer, Chanale charms her audience with her charisma, upbeat attitude and warm smile creating a unique bond with listeners. She has established herself as a musical force to be reckoned with, but does so with grace and modesty. Chanale lives in Brooklyn with her husband and 2 adorable daughters who star in the music video for the title track of the latest album “Taking Over My Heart”. Her albums are available at www.jewishjukebox.com and her blog is chanalesing.blogspot.com.

At the Florida Concert, Chanale will be singing new songs from her brand new Album, “Taking Over My Heart”.

The Chanale Concert is taking place, Wednesday, September 14, 8PM, at the Hallandale Cultural Community Center, 410 SE 3rd St. The Concert is the night following the 15th of Elul, the 10th Yahrzeit (anniversary of the passing) of Mrs Chaya Aydel Lebovics, z”l, after whom our Seminary was created and named.

Mrs Chaya Aydel Lebovics (nee Tennenhaus) was a renowned educator in Montreal for many years. Besides her creative talents that produced Children’s Books, songs, plays and innovative programs, Mrs Lebovics was a gifted teacher, who excelled teaching all grades, from Preschool through Seminary, and was able to successfully teach and nurture students from across the spectrum of the Jewish Community, from Bais Yaakov to Bais Rivkah, From Satmar to Tosh, and from Public Schools to Modern Jewish Day Schools.

In addition to her unique talents and range, Mrs Lebovics, who successfully made 30 Shidduchim in her young life, had a passion and knack of “fighting for the underdog”, by reaching out to boys and girls who “weren’t fitting in the system”, and incredibly turning their lives around for the good.

The Chaya Aydel Seminary was created in Florida, following an idea that the family had during the week of her Shiva ten years ago. On Tuesday, September 6, the Seminary begins its 10th year. The Chanale Concert will serve as a tribute to Mrs Lebovics, and the official welcoming of the Chaya Aydel Class of 2011/2012.

Rabbi Raphael Tennenhaus, the younger brother of Mrs Lebovics, and dean of the Seminary, is hoping that the Chanale Concert will raise sorely needed funds for girls whose parents stopped considering Seminary as an option for their daughters, due to the downturn in the economy:

“It has come to our attention, that there are many high school graduates not attending Seminaries today, due to the financial crisis that so many families are encountering. My sister always fought for the underdog, and we have decided that something must be done, so that Seminary becomes a realistic possibility for these girls. Hopefully, the Chanale Concert will give the chance for a number of girls, whose parents, until today, didn’t even put the Seminary option on the table for their daughters”, said Rabbi Tennenhaus, who also serves as the executive-vice-president of Chabad of South Broward.

Rabbi Yossy Lebovics, son of Mrs Lebovics and the Seminary’s principal since its inception, acknowledges that the Chaya Aydel Seminary meets the high standards of education , nurturing students and creating excitement in Shlichus experiences, that his mother would be extremely proud of.

The Seminary has a staff of 20 Teachers each week , from all over South Florida, who are noted experts on the specific subjects that they teach. There are many Farbrengens, renowned guest speakers from around the world, and hands on experience in Shlichus in the local community that the vibrant staff of Chabad of South Broward coordinates with the Seminary students. We’ve had over 200 students graduate from our Seminary, who are now impacting the world for the better, in their roles as successful community leaders, teachers and Shluchos.

General admission for the Chanale Concert, purchased in advance, is $10, at the door $15. VIP Sponsors Front Row is $100, ViP Rows 3-8 is $30. Seating is limited. To purchase tickets, click here. To donate towards the Chaya Aydel Seminary Scholarship Fund, click here.
