Choni G Releases Debut Single “Od Yavo Shalom – Salaam”

South African singer, Choni G is excited to release his debut single, Od Yavo Shalom – Salaam. The single is a cover of the hugely popular Israeli song, Od Yavo Shalom Aleinu – Salaam by Mosh Ben Ari/Sheva.

The song is centered around a message of unity and peace. The inspiration for the track, came a couple years ago from an impromptu jam session at a Chanukah performance in a Starbucks in LA. Salaam is a song that has enjoyed numerous covers but Choni felt he could bring a different and unique sound. There was something so new about the chords and way in which he sung this melody.

With a new indie electronic feel and a ‘Cafe del Mar‘ vibe, the hope is to connect with an audience who look forward to a global community built on love and tolerance.

Having this message in mind, the music video depicts a journey of cultures and a celebration of diversity. It brings a positive message to our troubled world.

Choni G has also embarked on his own new journey. Od Yavo Shalom – Salaam, is the first single of what promises to be a fantastic album.
