Derech Emunah: Mordechai Meir With The Secret of Life In A New Single

The release of Agam Berger from Hamas captivity, led singer and songwriter Mordechai Meir to bring out the song ‘Derech Emunah‘ that he wrote at the beginning of the war. The song, which now takes on a deep meaning and changes its validity, was musically edited and produced by Nissan Rothman.
From that Shabbat Simchat Torah, everything changed. Everyone with a Jewish soul felt how the legacy of thousands of years of dedication, the tears of all generations, the avos and heroes of the nation, the mighty life teachings of an ancient people drained into him and began to speak.
The song ‘Derech Emunah’ was written by singer and songwriter Mordechai Meir at the beginning of the war, and these days it takes on an additional and deeper meaning. The song is a moving musical journey, touching the depths of the heart and reminding us that we carry a legacy and a historical mission greater than ourselves, and that faith in the righteousness of the path is not measured only when everything is in order on a comfortable plane, but rather in difficulty, in challenge, when it is dark and evil, when everything seems to be against you, there is an inner voice that whispers: “Even if you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I am here, go in your strength to save Israel.” Although the song had been brewing in his mind for a long time, Mordechai Meir decided to finish the recordings and release it when it became known that Agam Berger had been released from Hamas captivity in Gaza. “I felt that something inside me had come out of captivity, a real taste of the liberation and redemption of the entire Jewish people, something beyond words,” he shares. “Even when the bush is burning with fire, it is not consumed. Agam‘s personal suffering is a sample of Israel’s suffering and redemption in all generations, and this is the time to choose the path of faith.” With lyrics that come from the depths of the soul and a melody that opens gates to the heart, this song is not only powerful, painful and moving – it is also embracing, strengthening and filling with new energy. Between the soft classical sounds and the sweeping electric solo, it reminds us that it is precisely in the most difficult moments – God is closest.
