Gavriel Reichmann & Eli Schwebel Collaborate On Special Project For The Nine Days

Prospect Heights, NY – In an inspiring musical collaboration, Gavriel Reichmann and Eli Schwebel have joined forces to create a special song titled “AAVV,” set to release during the Nine Days. The two artists, introduced by Yoe Mase, found common ground through their separate collaborations with the talented Mordechai Shapiro, naturally leading to conversations about music and a fruitful exchange of ideas.

Gavriel Reichmann, known for his innovative project Ekev, where he releases a new song every month on Rosh Chodesh, reached out to Eli Schwebel, who hails from Brooklyn, to craft something unique for the Nine Days. Given Gavriel‘s deep appreciation for Eli’s a cappella production with Lev Tahor, he sought to create music that bridges the experience of Churban Bayis Sheini (the destruction of the Second Temple) with the current struggles faced by Klal Yisrael.

The collaboration took place in Eli Schwebel‘s studio located in Prospect Heights, New York. Currently, Mordechai Shapiro is working with Gavriel on the song “Elul,” the next installment of Gavriel‘s project Ekev. Meanwhile, Eli is producing a collaboration called “Geulah” with Mordechai and his Lev Tahor bandmates, Gadi Fuchs and Ari Cukier.

Eli Schwebel expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, “We wanted a personal ‘Al Aileh.’ There are so many going through this alone, and it’s important to honor that. Although it’s a personal song, you will see the journey of the song brings us together.”

In addition to the a cappella version, there will also be a music version of “AAVV,” adding another layer of depth and resonance to this heartfelt project. Both versions aim to be deeply personal and evocative pieces that resonate with those who have endured loss and struggle. The songs honor the pain of historical events while drawing parallels to contemporary challenges, highlighting the communal journey towards healing and unity.

This collaboration promises to be a poignant addition to the Jewish musical landscape, blending historical reverence with contemporary relevance. Fans are eagerly anticipating the release of this special project, hopeful that it will provide both comfort and a sense of collective resilience during these trying times.

The song “AAVV” by Gavriel Reichmann and Eli Schwebel will be available on Rosh Chodesh, offering listeners a musical journey from solitude to unity. Don’t miss this heartfelt and powerful collaboration.
