Oh HaShem – Moshe Storch (Official Lyric Video)
Released with a helping hand from our Father in Heaven on the Hebrew date that resembles that exact meaning: 14 Av – יד אב – Hand of our Father.
It’s been a long journey with this song Simple, yet deep.
11/29/2016 during a Hisbodedus at Franklin Canyon inspired by Yaakov Gradman (ישוב בני אדם) & Yosef Kohen (בית ברסלב לוס אנגילס) the chorus of this song, “Oh HaShem I wanna talk to You… came to fruition as the words of prayer were trying to come out but, like many people experience, at many times, they just weren’t.
Rabbi Tauber, Rav of Bais Yehuda LA, at that time would give a 7am Likutei Moharan shiur in his office for a small handful of us and would always quote Rebbe Nachman and say that whenever you don’t know what to say to HaShem just tell Him that you don’t know what to say, just tell Him you want to talk to Him. Simple, yet deep.
And that’s what I did on that day… (See video: https://www.instagram.com/p/BNaRB7eh6…)
Later in the day the song became concrete on the Accidental Talmudist Show.

Some while later Rav Mota Frank was spending Shabbos in LA and the morning after an inspiring Friday night together I walked my regular 4 miles to Shul and on the walk back I had written the first verse and got to talk it over with Rav Mota right then.
The second verse was something that my father Rabbi Shalom Storch emphasized alot on the fact that we’re all a Piece of HaShem and together with Rebbe Nachman’s Torah it evolved naturally some day soon after.
The third verse reminds me of a chilling Motzei Shabbos in the 5 towns at the Orlofsky home with Moshe, Daniel, Eitan & Ami! As we sat on the couch these thoughtful boys brought up conversation about HaShem and our relationship with Him. A little while later into the night the 3rd verse of this song was composed. At that moment I knew it would stick and be a core part of the song and I thank my friends the Orlofsky brothers for that precios gift.

Video concept:
This somewhat simple lyric video has within it many images and subtle hints taking you on a journey to just open to HaShem and speak to Him, create that relationship that He wants sooo badly with you and simply talk to Him!
Wether in the field, the woods, your yard or your car, say hi, He will be thrilled!
Gratitude:
Special thank you goes out to all those many people who would sing this song to me when they saw me and tell me how they put their kids to sleep with it. There are BH too many to list all of them but here are the top 3:
1) Mordy Gold and his sweet daughter Mia
2) Albert Beyzer and his wonderful daughter Sara
3) The entire holy Merewitz family
Thank you all so much for keeping this song alive all these years!
Special thanks to the children of The Westside Shul for always singing this song with me!
A few weeks after I wrote the chorus to the song I led a Chanuka Kumzitz in Calabassas Yeshiva where we sang the song in a candle lit room with about a hundred Bachurim singing together with beautiful harmonies and I believe that night this song was formed as my signature song, thanks to all those shtarke boys!
