Mordechai Shapiro With A New Album “Achas” & New Music Video!

Mordechai Shapiro With A New Album “Achas” & New Music Video!

A new album, a more mature and serious approach for one of the busiest artists in the chassidic and Jewish music industry in the United States and abroad – Mordechai Shapiro.

“The song that opens up the album is called Achas. The song itself has a different character from the other songs I’ve released to date. I wanted to show a different side, and a little different, more subtle. It’s not that the album is devoid of pop music, and I still have another side for more. ”

Shapiro is excited and looking forward to the release of the album, this time even more than ever. “The album is very special, partly because I invested in a few ballad songs this time.” Last year in the month of Elul, when Mordechai was looking for songs for the album, he found himself in a difficult period in his life. “I felt very distant from Hashem. But in the month of Elul, as is well known, that after davening we say a piece of tehillim a mizmor of “L’dovid Hashem.” So, one day, I decided to try to connect to tehillim piece more deeply, and really try to understand the words.”

Shapiro discovers that the words really flowed inside him and he definitely felt them, and so two new songs were born: “In Achas, I could really feel how I want to be in the house of Hashem all my life. To be close to Hashem and nothing else.” The second song, a single released this year by Abba, is inspired by the words “Al Tasteir Ponecho Mimeni” “I asked Abba! Where are you? I need me next to you !!! In retrospect, Mordechai’s emphasis on understanding the piece of tehillim “L’dovid Hashem” earned him the opportunity to compose two songs, which gave and strengthened him. “I hope it will also strengthen the listeners and bring them closer to our Father in heaven …”.

As a rule, the songs on the album in Hebrew and English all revolve around one theme: looking for Abba anywhere, anytime, happily, and sometimes in pain. For example, in the song Dancing In The Rain the message in this song is that even when it rains – it is from heaven, and when we understand that everything is from Hashem, then it is also possible to dance in the rain. The same is true of the song Ashira whose message is to see and recognize the beauty of the world, and then we begin in singing out of true joy and gratitude. “Even if we do not feel or see you are a father, deep down we know he is there all the time. And we must continue to do our best, to stay connected … all the days of my life, all the days of my life!”
