Naftali Kalfa Presents: This Is How You Start The Week!

Naftali Kalfa is releasing the first single from his fourth Album. “Amen” is an optimistic and Rhythmic hit song.

The words are from the Havdalah blessing for Motzei Shabbat, however, this is a prayer that is appropriate for
all days of the week. The musical arrangements and production were done by Amit Golan.

Singer and Songwriter Naftali Kalfa is married to Tamar and the father of 6 children. Born in Toronto, Canada, Naftali and his family made Aliyah to Israel and lives near Jerusalem in the city of Maale Adumim. Despite working in the business world, every fiber of his soul has been connected and pulled to music since he was a child. He would sing in school choirs, synagogues or family events. “My mother is very musical”, says Naftali, “I always loved music that would pierce the soul, in a way that words can’t”.

His first song he composed over a decade ago. One song led to another until there was enough music to record
his first album. He partnered up with the Piamenta brother’s, musicians he grew up listening to and inspired by. The result of this collaboration was a debut album “Yiuhyu Lratzon” which was very successful and popular. After making Aliyah to the Holy Land, he began to work with renowned producer Amit Golan. Since then he has released additional albums; a double album “The Naftali Kalfa project” and “Serenity Prayer”.

Since his last album, Kalfa has been hard at work on his fourth studio album. This album includes collaborations with his dear friends R’ Shlomo Katz, Gad Elbaz, as well as Benny Friedman, Itzik Dadya and others.

Amen” an optimistic and Rhythmic hit song, is the first single being released from this new album. The words are from the Havdalah blessing for Motzei Shabbat, however, this is a prayer that is appropriate for all days of the week. “Every moment is a perfect time to turn to G-D and ask for a blessing and success”, says Kalfa. He composed this song while sitting with his family on a Motzei Shabbat and making Havdalah. The song is accompanied by a children’s choir which adds a warm and familiar vibe to the tune.
Enjoy!
