Uri Adler – Roeisi
Uri Adler (38) has been dealing in music and theater for the past decade. As a result of intensive focus in the field, he has released six albums. Two albums of original Jewish music together with the band Nehorai, two more of the Tales of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov for children, a wedding band album and another album that was compiled of a series of ancient melodies, combined with stories. Beyond the studio, he divides his time between guiding tours, theater and a variety shows based on site.
His fascinating life journey began in Tel Aviv. Later he began a spiritual quest, while roaming around the country he was attracted to the Breslov chassidus. Soon after that he married and settled in the settlement of Bat Ayin, and now divides his time between his studies in music and his Torah studies. A year ago, he flew to India with a friend and establishes there a “house for the wandering Jew”. Since returning he has been busy fundraising for the establishment, and hosting travelers and students who arrive there in droves.
Work on the new album began several months ago, with Uri planning to donate all proceeds from the album to establish a “Jewish home” in Eilat and related ventures. Adler’s music is influenced by Breslov, but also from Tel Aviv where he grew up, of course also reflected in his musical side, is original Jewish music with ethnic touches. A variety of styles will be featured in the new album, sometimes several present even in the same song.
