Rogers Park Brings Accapella Music Back To It’s Roots
Who Says Jewish Accapella Must Cover Pop Songs From The Radio?
Rogers Park releases accapella version of Moshe Yess‘ “Pushka Pushka Pushka.”
“Moshe Yess is a huge inspiration to our music, we have been incredibly inspired by his engaging, meaningful, and non apologetic style. He said things the way they are.”
“Pushka” is a fun song that we first covered with instrumental backing on our debut album “The Maggid“. We have received many requests to produce something to listen to during Sefiras Ha’Omer. We are proud to release this version of “Pushka” with every sound produced by human mouth and vocal chords” said Yosef Peysin – vocalist and co-songwriter for Rogers Park – “America’s Only Hassidic Folk Band”.
“We wanted to do something a little different with this song,” says Mordy Kurtz of the Rogers Park Band. “Giving our listeners a taste of what accapella music was really like a few decades ago, without all the fancy studio effects. Stripping a song down to its essence, and giving it the accompaniment that properly fits it.”
“We are a band that wants to provide high-quality original and meaningful music that will become a part of the cultural fabric of our communities. We are so happy to see that our contributions are being well received and communities across the United States are already asking for more”.
The song is available for FREE download on MostlyMusic.com.
