Shlomi Shabbat & Shuki Salomon “Shir HaRefuah”
The singer and creator Shuki Salomon in a new single-clip called ‘Shir HaRefuah‘ in which he hosts the singer Shlomi Shabbat for a joint duet. The song that comes out on erev Rosh Hashana, is a prayer for the healing of the sick people of Israel, and hope for a blessed and happy year. The lyrics were written and composed by Shuki Salomon and the musical arrangement by David Taub. The song is accompanied by a spectacular and exciting music video directed by the creator Sruli Broncher. The entire production is signed by David Fadida.
The extraordinary collaboration between Shuki and Shlomi is an exciting story in itself. As part of Shuki’s activity to make hearts happy and bring people together, during the Corona period he volunteered together with a group of friends to visit the busy Corona wards in the hospitals to sing and encourage the patients. At that time, the illness of Shlomi Shabbat was published and together with all the people of Israel, Shuki also prayed for his healing.
One day when he came back from the hospital, Shuki sat down with the guitar at home and from that he started humming a melody that very quickly also got words and that’s how the song ‘Refuah‘ was written for Shlomi‘s treatment. At the same time Shuki asked tens of thousands of his followers on social networks to pray for Shlomi‘s healing so that with Hashem’s help he would recover quickly as the dream was to perform the song together.
“The song ‘Refuah‘ is actually Shlomi‘s song,” says Shuki Salomon. “I am simply the conduit through which Hashem sent the song to the world. A few months after Shlomi recovered and returned to us, I asked my journalist friend Itzik Ohana to make the connection with Shlomi and offer him to join I came to the exciting performance and to my delight he agreed. It is a great privilege for me to make the people of Israel happy and strong.”
