Stand For You By Eli Schwebel
Four months ago, my close friend, Executive Producer Israel Schachter, shared his vision to tell a story that will educate our communities about the lifesaving work Amudim has been doing.
“Stand For You” is the brainchild of our collaboration. It is the story of an intimate relationship with the abused, silenced, and shamed. It is the story of people close to me, and it is my story.
Ironically, it’s a story we had to tell without telling it.

Lyrics:
I could see it in your eyes
There was something you were hiding
You were holding deep inside
You were fighting on your own
All the nights you went to bed
Under covers you were crying
With his words inside your head
He stole your innocence
When you feel like is hope is lost
And you don’t know where to go
Or who to call
I will stand for you
We can face the world together
If we raise our voice
And make the choice
To learn to live again
I will stand for you
When you need me more than ever
We will face the truth
And find a new way through
I will stand for you
For as long as you remember
You had troubles on your mind
But at the bottom of the bottle
You left them all behind
You said you would surrender
All you needed was more time
But the days turned to years
And your promise turned to lies
When you feel like is hope is lost
And you don’t know where to go
Or who to call
I will stand for you
We can face the world together
If we raise our voice
And make the choice
To learn to live again
I will stand for you
When you need me more than ever
We will face the truth
And find a new way through
I will stand for you
And I love you enough for you to hate me for this
I will stand for you
We can face the world together
If we raise our voice
And make the choice
To learn to live again
I will stand for you
When you need me more than ever
We will face the truth
And find a new way through
We will stand for you
