Enjoy this Beautiful Song: The Streets of Yerushalayim!
Walking through the streets of Jerusalem is an indescribable experience. As the Rabbi Reb Nachman of Breslev Zt”l teaches in Likutei Moharan, “Tora 129,” taking four steps in Eretz Yisrael guarantees a place in Olam Haba. In my life, I have developed a deep bond with Eretz Yisrael, particularly with the holy city of Jerusalem, which I visit often. A few years ago, I released a heartfelt hit song, “Ahiem kein Yerushalayim,” which resonates with audiences worldwide, capturing the spirit of the city.
Recently, during a visit, I noticed extensive construction in Jerusalem, symbolizing the preparation for Klal Yisrael’s arrival with Mashiach. As I prepared to return to America, still living in galut, I felt inspired to write and compose a new song—a prayer for the day I’ll be able to live in Jerusalem with Klal Yisrael. The song concludes with a hopeful message about returning home to Jerusalem with Klal Yisrael when the Third Beis Hamikdash arrives.
This song is dedicated to the memory of my dear Chvrusa and longtime friend, Reb Yiddy Lebowitz zt”l, who developed a profound connection with Eretz Yisrael, particularly Yerushalayim. He moved there with his family and inspired many to follow in his footsteps. His passion for our homeland motivated me to sing about our connection to Israel. The song is based on the aspiration to ascend and live in Israel, but first, we must pray to Hashem—then our prayers will be answered. May his memory be a blessing.
I’m sure you’ll love this song—take a listen, sing along, and share it with your friends.
See you in Jerusalem!
