Yaakov Shwekey | MARAN SHELI | Music Video

There’s no better time then on the eve of Chag Shavuot
To put out a clip on a man who lived and breathed the Torah,a giant in our generation i will always cherish the moments i had with him
The blessings he gave
He is truly missed…
The emotions were too fresh, the wounds too raw to have set my feelings to music immediately after Maran’s passing. Even now, over two years later, the feeling that a sense of protection has been taken when we lost Rav Ovadiah Yosef zt”l is frighteningly palpable.
A Blessing from this great Tzadik lifted up every type of Jew. His words of encouragement and acceptance inspired Yidden from all walks of life, His home was open for any Jew who wished to enter.
As music is my own personal mode of expression, I hope that this song is inspirational not only as a tribute to a great man but an affirmation of his ongoing influence, and my overwhelming feelings of loss after hearing about his passing.
May we merit to join him again soon
in the times of…. Mashiach
